Haze Seas has 12 playable races that grant passive bonuses to your character. Races are rolled through Race Spins — obtained from codes, daily login rewards, playtime milestones, and gem purchases. Your race affects walk speed, HP, stamina, swim speed, Sky Walk power, and special abilities like life steal or Conqueror Haki.

How to Change Race — Race Spins

Changing your race in Haze Seas requires Race Spin tokens. Open the in-game race spin menu from the left sidebar Race tab. Each spin rerolls your race randomly based on rarity weights — common races appear most often, mythical D. Clan at 0.1%.

From codes — Redeem HAZEPIECE23 on the codes page for 6 Race Spins. Milestone expired codes also bundled spins during past events — only active strings work now.

From daily rewards — Login streaks and playtime timers grant spin tokens alongside fruits and gems. Check the Menu reward panel every session.

From gems — Purchase spins in the gem shop when you have surplus gems from boss farms. Gems are more valuable early game for fruit dealer rolls — only buy race spins after you have a B-tier or higher fruit locked in.

Spin strategy — Save at least 10 spins per session for meaningful reroll odds. Do not expect D. Clan in your first six spins from HAZEPIECE23 — 0.1% means hundreds of spins on average. Stop spinning when you hit A-tier Cyborg, Demon, Lunarian, or S-tier Dragonoid.

Race V1 Passives — What Each Race Does

Before grinding Race V2, understand what your current roll provides. The rework confirmed these V1 passives for the core race lineup:

Human — +25% walk speed and +70% HP. The default common race — solid for learning but outclassed by any uncommon spin.

Mink (Beastborn) — +20% walk speed and +5% stamina. Strong speed pick for PvP chasers and sword rushdown builds.

Skypeian (Skyborn) — +50% boost on your first Sky Walk step. Pairs with early Sky Walk unlock on Starter Island for island traversal.

Fishman (Fishborn) — +50% swim speed. Essential for water-heavy island routes and underwater boss encounters.

Demon — 2.5% life steal on damage dealt. Scales combat sustain — strong for long boss fights when paired with high DPS fruits.

Dragonoid (Dragonborn) — +10% health, +10% health regen, +25% first Sky Walk boost. Best obtainable legendary before V2 — top spin target after A-tier rolls.

D. Clan — +5% health, +5% stamina, and Conqueror Haki (250 stamina per activation). Stuns players below your level. The only race with built-in Haoshoku Haki.

Race V2 Evolution — Quest Chain

Race V2 upgrades your passive bonuses with stronger stats, glide abilities, extra Observation dodges, and race-specific powers. Every race in Haze Seas shares the same V2 quest structure — repeat the chain for each race you want to evolve.

Level requirement — You must be level 2,200 before accepting the Race V2 quest. Level on Marine Base and Bubble Island quests until you hit this gate.

Quest 1 — Sea Beast — Defeat a Sea Beast during a sea event. Sail with a crew for faster clears. Sea Beast Hammer (50% drop) is a bonus sword farm during this step.

Quest 2 — Chest collection — Collect 50 chests scattered across the map. Sweep First Sea and Second Sea shorelines systematically — crew members can split zones to finish faster.

Quest 3 — Zenith boss — Defeat the Zenith boss. Zenith also drops a new sword — farm the boss for both V2 completion and weapon drops. Zenith is the Race V2 gatekeeper boss on the wiki bosses list.

Final payment — Pay 1,000,000 beli + 100 gems to unlock Race V2. Save cash from Fire Fist and Marine Captain gem runs before attempting payment.

The quest chain is repeatable for every race — evolve Human, Mink, Dragonoid, or D. Clan separately by completing all four steps per race.

Race V2 Bonuses — V1 vs V2 Comparison

Race V2 passives upgrade significantly over V1. These confirmed V2 changes apply after completing the quest chain:

Fishman V2 — 2× swim speed, 2× walk speed for 4 seconds after leaving water, and water immunity for fruit users. Critical for Water 7-style islands and sea boss raids.

Demon V2 — 3% life steal (up from 2.5%) plus 10% chance to summon a hellfire circle on dash that deals AoE damage. High-skill PvP race with dash tech.
